Nikon Z6 and Z7 full-frame mirrorless cameras launched in India

The new cameras are the first full-frame mirrorless cameras from Nikon

Nikon unveiled its first full-frame mirrorless cameras, the Nikon Z7 and the Z6, just last month. Today, the brand finally launched these cameras in India at an event in New Delhi. Apart from the main attraction, the brand also launched three new NIKKOR Z lenses. The new lenses include a standard zoom NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S, wide-angle prime NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S and standard Prime NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S. Notably, the new lenses come with a larger-diameter mount in comparison to earlier models. Finally, Nikon also unveiled its Mount Adapter FTZ in the country.

Coming back to the Nikon Z7 and the Z6, the new full-frame mirrorless cameras come with a new backside illumination full-frame, Nikon FX-format CMOS sensor with built-in focal plane phase-detection AF pixels. Further, the new cameras are powered by the EXPEED 6 image processing engine. The Nikon Z7 comes with 45.7 effective megapixels, and supports a standard sensitivity range of ISO 64–25600. The company claims that in combination with NIKKOR Z lenses, the Z7 is capable of achieving an outstanding level of sharpness and detail, all the way up to the edges of the image.
