IFA 2019: Nokia 110, 2720 Flip, and 800 Tough feature phones announced

HMD Global, apart from Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 smartphones, launched the Nokia 110, Nokia 2720 Flip, and Nokia 800 Tough feature phones. The Nokia 800 Tough and 2720 Flip phones run on KaiOS and are powered by the Qualcomm 205 mobile platform coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage that is further expandable up to 32GB, and come with 4G connectivity. While the Nokia 110 packs a 1.77-inch QVGA display and runs on Nokia Series 30+ software platform. 

The iconic Nokia 2720 flip feature phone is back and brings 4G LTE connectivity. The feature phone runs on KaiOS and ships with apps like Google Assistant for hands-free voice control, WhatsApp, Facebook and more. There is an external screen that lets users check notifications or caller ID before flipping it open. There is also an emergency button that sends a text message, including the current location and calls five contacts in the address book. It packs 512MB RAM and 4GB storage that is further expandable up to 32GB. It sports a 2.8-inch QVGA display with 240 x 240 pixels resolution and a 2MP primary camera with flash. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS + GLONASS, and Bluetooth 4.0. The Nokia 2720 Flip comes in Black and Grey colours. The feature phone will go on sale in September, with the price set at EUR 89 (roughly Rs 7,000).

The Nokia 800 Tough feature phone is MIL-STD-810G certified for dust, sand, water and extreme temperature resistance

The Nokia 800 Tough is claimed to be built for durability. It is water- and dust-resistant up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes, thanks to the IP68 rating. The phone comes with 4G LTE support, LED flash, Google Assistant and apps such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, Facebook, and more. The phone is also MIL-STD-810G certified for dust, sand, water and extreme temperature resistance. The Nokia 800 Tough sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display, packs a 2MP primary camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.1, and  GPS/AGPS + GLONASS. It packs a 2,100mAh battery, and the phone book supports up to 1,000 contacts. Nokia 800 Tough will be available in Black Steel and Desert Sand colour options and go on sale in October at a price of EUR 109 (approximately Rs 8,650). 

The Nokia 110 comes with the Snake game and four additional try-and-buy games such as Ninja Up, Airstrike, Penalty Cup, Doodle Jump. There is a qVGA rear camera and dual SIM connectivity. The 800mAh battery is claimed to offer 14 hours of talk time on a single charge and standby time of up to 18.5 days. It comes with FM Radio, microUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack and LED torchlight. The Nokia 110 measures 115.15 x 49.85 x 14.3mm And weighs 74.96 grams including battery and it comes in Ocean Blue, Pink and Black colours. There is a removable 800mAh battery, 4MB RAM, and storage that is expandable. It goes on sale in September and will cost $20 (about Rs 1,500)
