After its global launch earlier this month, the Nokia 2.3 smartphone has now been launched in India. The handset is a next-gen budget offering from the brand, succeeding the Nokia 2.2 from earlier this year. Nokia 2.3 features a dewdrop display with high screen-to-body ratio and minimal bezels for immersive viewing experience. The phone also ships with AI dual cameras, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and a 2-day battery life. Nokia 23 is said to be Android 10-ready and runs stock Android 9 Pie out of the box. Notably, the Nokia 2.3 comes with a 1-year replacement guarantee if bought on or before March 31st, 2020.

Nokia 2.3 price in India is set at Rs 8,199 instead of Rs 5,999 as was listed previously on the company’s website. The handset comes in Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal colour options and will be available for sale from December 27th onwards. The Nokia 2.3 will be up for grabs from Nokia’s official website, leading retail outlets, and partners like Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, and MyG with offers worth Rs 7,200 for Jio users. Additionally, the Nokia 2.3 comes with a replacement guarantee of one year period. This is valid for users purchasing the handset on or before March 31st, 2020.

As for the Nokia 2.3 specifications, the handset comes clad in a polymer body with inner high die-cast aluminium chassis for rigid and solid design. It features a 6.2-inch “advanced” In-Cell technology display that bears HD+ resolution and aspect ratio of 19:9. The handset rocks MediaTek Helio A22 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage, which is further expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card. The Nokia 2.3 is driven by a beefy 4,000mAh battery cell that is backed by AI.
For photography, the Nokia 2.3 features a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras at the back. The cameras are backed by an LED flash, ‘recommended shot’ that capture a series of images to recommend the best photo using the AI, and bokeh shots with six different modes, including hearts, stars, flowers, butterflies, and more. The phone’s front is equipped with 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
There is a dedicated button for Google Assistant on the Nokia 2.3 and face unlock for security. Nokia 2.3 is an Android One phone that ships with stock Android 9 Pie. The handset is due to receive Android 10 update later this year.
