HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia brand, today held its pre-MWC 2019 event to announce a flurry of smartphones including the flagship Nokia 9 PureView, mid-range Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2, entry-level Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 210 feature phone. Of these, the Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 are the debut smartphones from the company to feature a waterdrop notch displays. Both these smartphones are Android One devices and, thus, come with the stock Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 - Featured

Nokia 3.2, 4.2 price, availability

HMD Global is offering both these smartphones in two configurations – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB. The Nokia 3.2 price will start from $139 (9,800) for the base variant and the Nokia 4.2 will have a starting price tag of $169 (about Rs 12,000). The former will come in Black and Steel hues, while the latter can be snagged in Black and Pink Sand colours.

Nokia 3.2

The Nokia 3.2 is the more affordable of the two and comes with a 6.26-inch 19:9 display with 720 x 1,520-pixel resolution. The handset gets Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC at its core accompanied by Adreno 504 graphics. In the imaging department, it offers a single 13-megapixel shooter with LD flash at the back and 5-megapixel front shooter with face unlock. The 3GB + 32GB model also gets a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. In the software department, the smartphone boots stock Android Pie and promised two years of software updates. Lastly, the smartphone will have a beefy 4,000mAh battery powering it through the course of a day. Nokia is offering the 3.2 in two hues – Black and Steel.

Nokia 4.2

The Nokia 4.2 features a smaller 5.71-inch display with the same specifications as the Nokia 3.2. However, it gets a more powerful Snapdragon 439 SoC at its core with Adreno 505 graphics. For cameras, the smartphone offers a dual-camera setup on the back with a 13-megapixel shooter backed by a 2-megapixel depth-sensing lens. For selfies, the smartphone again gets a better 8-megapixel shooter on the front. The Nokia 4.2 also boots Android 9 Pie out of the box and is powered by a 3,300mAh battery. For security, the smartphone gets both face unlock and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
