“The refreshed Nokia 3310 is a 2G-only device”
The Nokia mobile brand made a grand comeback riding on the back of the nostalgic 3310’s refreshed variant. However, being the basic phone it is, Nokia 3310 (review) was launched with support only for 2G.
However, recently a 3G variant of the device appeared on the FCC with model number TA-1036 with support for GSM bands including 850 and 1900, and other bands like WCDMA Band II and Band V. Now, reports have emerged that the 3G-enabled variant will be available at Three Ireland (an Irish carrier), starting late September or early October.
While there is no information regarding the pricing of the device, we can expect it to be priced similarly to the 2G model. The device could be unveiled at the brand’s event on August 16th in London, but it’s unclear if the phone will be launched in India.
