“HMD Global has an event scheduled for IFA 2019 in Germany, where the Nokia 5.2, Nokia 6.2, and Nokia 7.2 may be launched”
Nokia 5.2, 6.2 and 7.2 smartphones have been in the news for quite some time, and it looks like HMD Global might be planning on launching them real soon. Reports are suggesting the brand might introduce Nokia 110 and Nokia 2720 (2019) models soon as well. However, to launch these, HMD Global would want an event where it can grab enough attention towards it. Now, it’s been revealed that the brand would be unveiling the phones at the IFA 2019, that is scheduled between September 6th and September 11th, at slot 104 in Hall 6.2. The smartphones are expected to come with a 48MP rear cameras with 120-degree wide-angle lens in a round camera module like good-old Lumia phones.
Earlier rumours suggest that the Nokia 6.2 would sport a 6-inch FHD+ punch-hole display, be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 6GB RAM and a 3,300mAh battery. Similarly, the Nokia 7.2 is said to feature a waterdrop notch and is also powered by the same Snapdragon 660 SoC but with a large 3,500mAh battery. These could have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Both these phones were allegedly spotted on BIS certification in India, suggesting the Indian launch might happen right after the global announcement.
On the other hand, Nokia 5.2 with model number TA-1198 also been subjected to leaks in the recent past. It’s said to feature a 48MP primary sensor with Zeiss optics, a 20-megapixel secondary wide-angle lens. It has a teardrop notch to accommodate the selfie snapper and a relatively thin chin at the bottom with Nokia branding. The handset will have a Full HD+ resolution with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. It’s likely to run on Android 9.0 Pie with stock Android skin. Since everything is based on rumours, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. We should know more details pretty soon.
