“Nokia 5.2 is expected to ship with Snapdragon 632 SoC, Android 9.0 Pie, an 8MP selfie snapper and a 6.2-inch display”
HMD Global has scheduled its MWC 2020 event on February 23rd. The brand is expected to unveil the Nokia 8.2 5G, Nokia 5.2, Nokia 1.3 and Nokia 400 4G-enabled feature phone. Now, ahead of the announcement, a mysterious Nokia phone, possibly the Nokia 5.2, has surfaced online, courtesy of Evan Blass. This reveals the phone would come with a waterdrop notch like the Nokia 4.2 to accommodate the selfie camera. As per the leaked image, the back of the alleged Nokia 5.2 will have the quad rear camera setup around the LED flash in a circular module, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The back seems to be made of plastic or frosted glass with curved edges.
The Nokia 5.2, and every new Android One-based Nokia phone to launch this year, should ship with stock Android 10 out of the box. The leak also revealed the handset would arrive with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage and has a codename, Captain America. The Nokia 5.2 is tipped to hit stores on March 4th with a price tag of $180 (around Rs 12,900). Earlier rumours suggested the phone would be powered by the Snapdragon 632 SoC, flaunt a 6.2-inch display and an 8MP snapper on the front. Since the launch is just a few weeks away, we advise you to take this with a pinch of salt and wait for an official announcement.
Separately, HMD Global is tipped to unveil the Nokia 8.2 5G phone on the same stage. It is expected to come with Snapdragon 765G SoC with integrated 5G modem. The handset is said to rock a 6.2-inch display with HDR 10+ support, a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor, and a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. The Nokia 8.2 5G price is said to start at EUR 459 (around Rs 36,100).
