“The Nokia 6.2 price is tipped as RMB 1,199 (about Rs 12,000) and RMB 1,499 (roughly Rs 15,000) for the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, respectively”
Details about Nokia 6.2, the much-awaited smartphone from HMD Global’s stables, has been leaked yet again. The latest Nokia 6.2 leak has spilled the beans on the handset’s specifications, price, and release date. The smartphone, which was expected to launch earlier this year, will now reportedly be unveiled at an event in China next month alongside its elder sibling Nokia 7.2 smartphone. The next-gen Nokia 6-series phone will most likely succeed last year’s Nokia 6.1 smartphone and have an affordable price tag. Apart from this, the Nokia 6.2 is said to be a similar-looking but slightly smaller version of the China-only Nokia X71.
According to a report by IT Homes (citing a website called MobilesReview as the source), the Nokia 6.2 will pack a tall 6-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and punch-hole for the selfie camera. The phone will be powered by a slightly-dated Snapdragon 660 chipset instead of Snapdragon 632 SoC as reported previously. In the camera department, the Nokia 6.2 is tipped to rock a vertical camera setup, with Carl Zeiss lenses. The smartphone is said to come with a 20-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle snapper, and a 5-megapixel depth shooter.
The phone will be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 3,300mAh battery, the report further added. Moreover, as with other Nokia devices, the Nokia 6.2 will also be an Android One smartphone and likely to have Android 9 Pie OS running out of the box. It is also said to come with 64GB internal storage as standard.
As for the price, Nokia 6.2 may come with a starting price of RMB 1,199 that roughly translates to Rs 12,000. This is for the handset’s base 4GB RAM variant, while the 6GB RAM options could be priced at RMB 1,499 (~Rs 15,000). As for the launch details, the report says the smartphone will likely release in the third quarter of 2019.
