“The Nokia 7.1 or 7.1 Plus is expected to be an Android One smartphone”
HMD Global, the licensee of the Nokia brand, will be hosting its launch event in London, today. While the brand hasn’t stated the name of the smartphone, it’s expected to be the all-new Nokia 7.1/ 7.1 Plus. The event will start at 5:00 pm local time, which translates to 09:30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST). The company will also be livestreaming the launch on its social media platforms. Talking about the features, the Nokia 7.1/ 7.1 Plus is expected to be another notched display smartphone from the vendor. Just like the Nokia 7 Plus (review), the handset is also said to flaunt a premium glass sandwiched design, dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back panel.
As for the specifications, the phone is rumoured to feature a 6.18-inch TFT display with a resolution of 2,246 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, the 7.1 Plus is reported to be driven by Qualcomm’s latest mid-range Snapdragon 710 SoC, mated with up to 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB storage. For photography, it is tipped to feature a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with LED flash on the rear. On the front, the handset is expected to feature a 20-megapixel sensor. Powering the device is stock-Android Oreo out of the box.
