“The Nokia 7.2 Geekbench listing doesn’t mention which processor will be powering the handset, but reveals the chipset’s 1.84GHz clock speed”
Nokia 7.2 smartphone has been in the news for quite some and a fair amount of details are out in the open. Earlier a Nokia phone with Daredevil codename has surfaced the internet and the same has now appeared on Geekbench with model name as Nokia 7.2. The listing suggests the handset has 6GB RAM, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor with 1.84GHz clock speed. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and since it’s a Nokia phone, it could be a part of the Android One program. The Nokia 7.2 managed to score 1604 points in single-core and 5821 in multi-core, respectively.
Earlier reports have suggested that the Nokia 7.2 share a lot in common with the Nokia 6.2. While it’s not confirmed, both the handsets said to have model numbers TA 1198 and TA-1193. The latter is already certified in Russia and Indonesia as well as BIS portal. Leaked renders revealed that the handset has a waterdrop notch, circular camera module with LED flash, similar to Lumia phones. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. It’s also tipped to flaunt a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display and powered by the Snapdragon 660/710 SoC.
As for the optics, Nokia 7.2 is said to come with a 48MP primary shooter with Zeiss branding, along with a 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens. There could be a third-depth sensor for portrait shots. A 3,500mAh battery is said to fuel the device. Since everything is based on rumours and reports, there’s no way to confirm these at the moment. HMD Global will be attending the IFA event in Berlin that is scheduled between September 6th to September 11th, so there’s a good chance that Nokia 7.2, Nokia 6.2 and a few other feature phones will be launching at the event.
