Nokia is suspected to break the mould and launch the Nokia X7 smartphone – that was recently unveiled in China - as Nokia 8.1 globally. While there is no word on the global launch of the smartphone yet, 91mobiles has learnt from retail sources that the smartphone is heading to the Indian market soon. Key highlights of the Nokia X7 include the 6.18-inch display, Snapdragon 710 processor with 6GB of RAM, and dual 13MP + 12MP cameras on the back.

According to our sources in retail channels, HMD Global is all set to launch the Nokia 8.1 in India this month. The brand will launch the smartphone in the country on November 28th. Further, the sources tells us that the Nokia 8.1 price in India will likely be Rs 23,999. The brand is yet to send media invites for the launch event.
To recall on the Nokia 8.1 specifications - if the handset is indeed the Nokia X7 as rumours suggest - comes with a 6.18-inch FHD+ screen and is powered by the upper mid-range Snapdragon 710 processor. The SoC is further backed by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB expandable storage. In the camera department, the smartphone offers a dual 13MP + 12MP sensors with LED flash on the rear and a 20-megapixel shooter up front for selfies and video calling. Out of the box, the smartphone boots stock Android Oreo and gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Under the hood, the smartphone comes with a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging. On the connectivity front, the Nokia 8.1 offers 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C, 3.5mm earphone jack.
