Nokia 8.1 gets Rs 7,000 discount on official Nokia store

“Both the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants are getting the discount along with some sweeteners”

After being discounted for a limited time in May, the Nokia 8.1 has now received a permanent price slash. Buyers can now get Rs 7,000 off of the handset’s original price from Nokia’s official online store and Amazon on both the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the handset. The base 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 19,999, down from its original launch price of Rs 26,999. While the 6GB RAM version is selling for Rs 23,850, the launch price was Rs 29,999.

Buyers on Amazon can get a slightly better deal with the 4GB RAM version as it is selling for Rs 19,199 while the 6GB RAM version is retailing for Rs 22,990. There are some more freebies as well on Nokia’s e-store though. The company is offering a one-time free screen replacement with a gift card worth Rs 4,000 with promo code ‘MATCHDAYS’. Then there are no-cost EMI options which are not available on Amazon. Nokia also offers Airtel subscribers 1TB worth of free 4G data with Rs 199 and upwards plans.

The Nokia 8.1 (also known as Nokia X7 in China), launched back in December and comes with a 6.18-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD notched display. It’s also got the premium front and back glass design with aluminium edges that give it a high-end phone feel. Inside the chassis, the Nokia 8.1 rocks a Snapdragon 710 SoC powered by a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charge. It runs pure vanilla Android 9.0 Pie. There’s a 12MP primary rear camera, which works in tandem with the 13MP sensor while the front has a 20MP selfie sensor.
