The Nokia 8.3 5G has been launched by HMD Global, and it is officially the first 5G Nokia phone from the company. The Nokia 8.3 5G is a premium mid-range smartphone as the company aims to offer an affordable 5G phone to the masses. The successor to the Nokia 8.1 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 765 chipset that comes integrated with a 5G modem and is based on an efficient 7nm process. The device also touts an all-glass design, punch-hole display and a Zeiss-powered 64MP quad camera setup. In addition to the nokia 8.3 5G, the company also launched the Nokia 5.3, Nokia 1.3 and the Nokia 5310 feature phone.
Nokia 8.3 5G price and availability
Nokia 8.3 5G price has been set at EUR 599 (approx Rs 47,800) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and EUR 649 (approx Rs 52,000) for the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The company says the smartphone will go on sale in Europe this summer. An exact launch date is yet to be announced. The company is also yet to reveal when it will be launching the Nokia 8.3 5G in India.

The Nokia 8.3 5G sports a 6.8-inch PureDisplay screen with an FHD+ resolution and always-on HDR support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 765 SoC that comes equipped with a 5G modem and is based on an efficient 7nm process. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone features a 3D Gorilla Glass on the back and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It touts a Nordic premium design and comes in a Polar Night colour option.
Coming to the cameras, the Nokia 8.3 5G sports a PureView quad camera setup powered by Zeiss optics. The setup includes a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens with 4K ultra HD support, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the smartphone gets a 24MP selfie camera. The Nokia 8.3 5G also supports an Action Camera mode. The Nokia 8.3 5G is an Android One device and runs on stock Android 10 software and is promised to receive two major software updates. It houses a 4,500mAh battery and supports fast charging over Type-C.
