“The Nokia 9.1 PureView is now said to launch in the fourth quarter of 2019”
Nokia 9.1 PureView specifications have been leaked in a report by NokiaPowerUser ahead of the launch. The successor to the Nokia 9 PureView, the flagship is said to come with next-gen features like support for 5G connectivity and the Snapdragon 855 processor. The source suggests that the smartphone will be released at some point in the fourth quarter of this year. HMD Global was earlier rumoured to release the Nokia 9.1 PureView by the end of the third quarter, but the development team behind the device reportedly found some issues regarding the smartphone’s major features such as the camera prowess. The company is currently resolving these problems as it wants to avoid the bad press around the handset.
The Nokia 9 PureView cameras include technology from Carl ZEISS. However, for the cameras of the phone’s successor, the company is reportedly working with Light. The report suggests that the Light camera technology onboard the handset will have a “special focus on video and low-light performance.” The camera speed of the smartphone will be better than that of Nokia 9 PureView with a combination of better processor and software algorithm improvements.
Furthermore, the source claims that the next-gen Nokia flagship could come with a punch-hole display and boot Android Q out of the box. Sadly no other details about the phone are available at the moment, like its pricing and availability.
As for the Nokia 9 PureView, the smartphone comes with five 12MP cameras at the back. Two of them are RGB sensors, while the other three are monochrome lenses. The phone is capable of capturing uncompressed RAW images in DNG format, which you can edit on the apps like Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. For selfies and video calling, the handset is fitted with a 12MP snapper on the front.
The Nokia 9 PureView price in India is set at Rs 49,999, and the phone is available to buy on Flipkart, the brand’s website, and the major retail outlets across the country.
