Nokia 9.3 PureView may have a 108MP penta-camera setup: report

Highlights
  • The Nokia 9.3 PureView is tipped to feature 64MP primary camera with OIS
  • HMD Global to reportedly ditch partnership with Light camera technology
  • Nokia 9.3 PureView is expected to launch in Q3 2020 alongside Nokia 7.3

Nokia 9.3 PureView is reportedly in development and is expected to launch in Q3 2020 alongside Nokia 7.3 premium mid-range phone. The Nokia 9.3 launch announcement could be delayed owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic across the globe. Now, a new report from NokiaPowerUser, citing a tip by one of its sources, claims the Nokia 9.3 will retain the penta-camera setup and ditch the Light camera technology found on the original Nokia 9 PureView smartphone. This corroborates with a report from January that claimed HMD Global will let-go of the Light partnership owing to the post-launch support for Nokia 9 last year. More interestingly, the report says Nokia 9.3 will feature a 108MP camera, but it will be a wide-angle lens and not the primary sensor.
