- Nokia 9.3 PureView is said to ship with an in-display selfie camera and PureDisplay V3
- The handset is also tipped to come with a 120Hz screen refresh rate
- The flagship Nokia phone is expected to launch in Q3 2020
Nokia 9.3 PureView has been in the news for quite some time and is expected to launch in Q3 2020 alongside the Nokia 7.3 mid-range. The handset is tipped to feature a 108MP Penta camera setup at the back along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Now, NokiaPowerUser citing sources close to HMD Global claims the Nokia 9.3 PureView would come with an in-display selfie camera and an improved PureDispaly screen technology aka PureDisplay V3. The company apparently tested prototypes with a pop-up selfie camera and an in-screen unit and picked the latter for commercial launch. Additionally, sources also claim the Nokia 9.3 display will be one of the best on any smartphone.
The latest report by NPU suggests the Nokia 9.3 PureView is going to be a pretty futuristic smartphone, but the report should be taken with a pinch of salt until things are more certain. The under screen camera technology sees the front camera hide under a working display and it is a concept that OPPO showcased last year. We are yet to see a commercial phone with an in-display camera. As for the new PureDisplay V3, the report does not mention exactly the kind of improvement we will see, but sources say it will be one of the best displays on a smartphone yet.
