The Nokia G21 entry-level smartphone has been unveiled officially in global markets. It comes as a successor to the Nokia G20 and brings quite a few upgrades in terms of hardware specifications. It has a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper, a square-camera module to house the triple-camera lenses, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and a unique textured back panel. The handset is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset, compared to the Helio G35 chipset of the predecessor, and features a 50MP primary sensor in place of a 48MP lens. There is also a 5,050mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

It runs on Android 11 OS out of the box but the company is promising two major Android updates, which means the device will get Android 12 and Android 13 OS in the future. Along with this, the smartphone will get three years of security patches. Nokia G21 is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset paired with the Mali G57 MP1, 4GB RAM, and up to 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, along with improved facial unlock capabilities.

Moving to optics, the Nokia G21 has triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Details regarding the front camera are under wraps, at the moment.

Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm jack, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The handset will come with Spotify and ExpressVPN pre-installed, with the latter offering a 30-day free trial.
