Nokia has launched its latest Android tablet in India, the Nokia T21. The new tablet that comes as a successor to the T20, will rival the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi Pad, and Lenovo’s Tab P11 series. The device was launched globally in the third quarter of last year, back in September 2022. Now, the Nokia T21 will be an affordable segment Android tablet, that could be geared at basic productivity or entertainment use cases.

Nokia T21 tablet price in India, availability

The Nokia T21 price in India starts at Rs 17,999 for the 4GB + 64GB Wi-Fi variant. The Nokia T21 Wi-Fi and 4G variant costs Rs 18,999, and also offers 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The tablet comes in a single Charcoal Grey colour option.

As part of an introductory offer, both variants will get a flat Rs 1,000 pre-booking discount, and a flip cover worth Rs 1,999 for free. The tablet will start shipping to buyers from January 22nd. It will be available at retail stores and partner portals.

Nokia T21 tablet specifications

Nokia T21 specifications include the Unisoc T-612 SoC, along with the above-mentioned 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also gets a 10.36-inch display with 2K screen resolution, and SGS Blue Light certification for reduced eye strain. The tablet also comes with certification for OZO Playback Audio, for stereo audio streaming.

Other key specifications include an 8,200mAh battery with 18W fast charging, which Nokia claims will retain 80 percent capacity even after 800 charge cycles. Nokia further guarantees two Android OS upgrades — it presently runs on 2021’s Android 12 — as well as three years of Android security upgrades. It is not clear if the three-year security upgrades guarantee will apply from the time of its global launch, or from Android 12 onwards.

Nokia also claims that the tablet, which features an all-metal body, comes with a plastic exterior for its antenna. The plastic portion is made of 60 percent recycled material.
