“The 3C-certified Nokia handset bears the model number TA-1172 and 18W fast charging support”
HMD Global’s latest smartphones – the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 1 Plus – are yet to hit the shelf in most markets, but it seems the company is gearing up to launch yet another smartphone shortly. A mysterious Nokia device has recently paid a visit to 3C certification site in China. The listing doesn’t reveal much about the handset but confirms it’ll bear model number Nokia TA-1172 and support 18W fast charging tech.
Since this is the first time the Nokia device has been spotted, its identity remains a mystery at the moment. However, there are speculations that the device could be the rumoured Nokia 6.2 smartphone. The latter is expected to be the first device from the company with a punch-hole display. The smartphone is expected to make its debut next month (April 2nd, to be exact) in Taiwan with the Nokia X71 moniker. The handset will reportedly flaunt triple rear cameras with a 48-megapixel primary sensor and 120-degree super wide-angle lens.
The Nokia 6.2 may rock a 6.2-inch full HD+ display with a punch-hole for the front-facing camera. The phone is likely to be driven by Snapdragon 632 chipset paired with 4GB/ 6GB RAM options. In optics, it is expected to sport a combination of 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors on the rear with LED flash. The entire setup could be run by a 3,500mAh battery with support for rapid charging through USB-C.
The Nokia 6.2, the successor of last year’s Nokia 6.1, is tipped to come with a sticker price of EUR 279 that roughly translates to Rs 21,000 in the Indian currency. That’s all we know so far!
