HMD Global launched its latest mid-ranger, the Nokia X71, at an event in Taiwan today. This is yet another Android One smartphone from the company and features a lot of firsts. Nokia X71 is the first phone from HMD Global to feature a triple-rear camera setup and a punch-hole display. The smartphone is well priced and will compete with phones such as the Vivo V15 Pro (review) and the OPPO F11 Pro (review). In this post, we are going to compare the Nokia X71 price and specifications with the Vivo V15 Pro and the OPPO F11 Pro to see who comes out on top. Let’s get started.
Nokia X71 vs Vivo V15 Pro vs OPPO F11 Pro price
As of now, HMD Global hasn’t given out any statement regarding the phone’s availability in India. In Taiwan, the Nokia X71 is priced at NT$ 11,990 (Rs 26,999) and will go on sale on April 30th. It will only be available in Eclipse Black colour for now. The phone is expected to be sold as the Nokia 8.1 Plus outside China and Taiwan.
The Vivo V15 Pro, priced in India at Rs 28,999, is a well equipped and feature-packed mid-range smartphone. It comes in solely configuration, with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. OPPO F11 Pro has similar features as the Vivo phone, but is priced lower. The OPPO F11 Pro price in India is Rs 24,990 and it comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. If the Nokia X71 is launched in India as the Nokia 8.1 Plus, we expect it to be priced somewhere on the lines of the Vivo V15 Pro.

Coming to the design and specifications of the phones, all three devices come with similar features. In terms of sheer beauty and design, we believe the Nokia X71 looks the best out of the three. It uses an all-glass construction and has gold accents around the camera module and fingerprint scanner. Compared to this, the OPPO and the Vivo devices feature a plastic body.
Let’s talk about the displays on these phones. The Nokia X71 and the Vivo V15 Pro feature a 6.39-inch display, but Vivo uses an AMOLED panel against the LCD display on the Nokia phone. The OPPO F11 Pro features a larger 6.53-inch LCD display. As mentioned in the beginning, this is the first Nokia smartphone to use the punch-hole display. The phone gets a camera cutout on the left top corner of the display. Both the OPPO and Vivo phones get a pop-up selfie camera.
In the hardware department, the Vivo V15 Pro is the winner. It is powered by a Snapdragon 675 AI chipset, whereas the OPPO F11 Pro features a MediaTek Helio P70 processor and the Nokia X71 comes with an older Snapdragon 660 unit. All three phones come with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot for expansion.
As for optics, the Nokia X71 and the Vivo V15 Pro feature a triple-rear camera setup, whereas the OPPO F11 Pro comes with dual-rear cameras. In terms of battery and software, the Nokia X71 gets a 3,500mAh cell and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It is part of the Android One program, so expect fast security and software updates. The OPPO F11 Pro gets a 4,000mAh battery, while the Vivo V15 Pro has a 3,700mAh unit. All three phones support fast charging technology. The OPPO and the Nokia have a traditional fingerprint scanner at the back, whereas the Vivo V15 Pro gets an in-display scanner.
In conclusion, the Vivo V15 Pro has a lot to offer for the price, but if you want stock Android, clean design, and Zeiss optics, then the new Nokia X71 is the one to have. We will let you know when it is available in India.
