“The Nokia X71 is slated to come with a whopping 48-megapixel camera; launch scheduled for April 2nd”
HMD Global, the license holder to make and sell Nokia devices, will be updating the lineup of its smartphone series with Nokia X71 handset tomorrow in Taiwan. The handset might launch as the Nokia 6.2 aka Nokia 6 (2019) for global markets. Ahead of its release, the phone has been spotted on popular benchmarking site Geekbench. The listing spills the beans on Nokia X71’s chipset, OS, and memory.
The listing suggests that the handset will rock Android 9 Pie to take care of the software side of things and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM to drive the performance. With the said configuration, the Nokia X71 managed to score 1,455 points in the single-core test and 5,075 points in the multi-core test. It seems to be an impressive score, especially if you compare it with Redmi Note 7 Geekbench score. The Xiaomi handset (with the same SoC) scored 1,462 points in the single-core test and 4,556 points in the multi-core test.
In related news, the alleged back panel of the Nokia X71 has surfaced (via Amazon) to reveal dual camera setup with fingerprint sensor just below. The alignment seems accustomed to previous Nokia devices such as Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 7.1. As for the camera hardware, the handset will flaunt an impressive 48-megapixel main sensor (maker unknown) paired with a 120-degree wide angle lens(resolution unknown). The front camera detail remains vague at the moment.
Coming to the specifications, the phone is likely to feature a 6.2-inch screen with full-HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Other than the 6GB RAM, the handset is also expected to come with 4GB of RAM and at least 64GB storage that can further be expandable via microSD card. Lastly, a 3,050mAh battery with support for fast charging tech will reportedly fuel the handset. That’s all we know so far, so stay tuned in.
