That, however, is not the case when it comes to the brand officially revealing information about the same. Finally, it turns out that Nothing has started opening up about the Nothing Phone (1). A couple of days ago, the brand gave us the first glimpse of the device and now, it has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will be manufactured locally in India.

Additionally, tipster Mukul Sharma has revealed that the production of the phone has reportedly already begun at a facility in Tamil Nadu, but the battery will be imported from China.

Nothing Phone (1) to be manufactured locally

According to the details shared by Nothing VP and GM Manu Sharma with the Economic Times, the Nothing Phone (1) sold in India will be manufactured in Tamil Nadu. Manu states that the Nothing Phone (1) is the “real” start of the brand’s journey, and considering how important the Indian market is for the brand, it made sense for Nothing to manufacture the Nothing Phone (1) locally.

He further confirmed that Nothing had expanded its customer support in India to over 270 authorised service centres in more than 250 cities across the country, thereby trying to increase consumer trust.
