Not too long ago, Nothing confirmed the launch date of its first-ever Android smartphone, called the Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing Phone (1) will launch on July 12th, 2022 in the global markets, and in India. Ahead of the launch, a new promotional poster for the device has gone live on Indian e-commerce website Flipkart, which gives us the first official glimpse of the Nothing Phone (1). While the poster does not give us the full view of the device, it still has enough for us to find out some crucial details of the device. Let’s take a look.
Nothing Phone (1) first look teased
As seen in the images above, this is what the Nothing Phone (1) will most likely look like. we can clearly see a metal chassis surrounding the device (notice the antenna linings on the top), which means that the Nothing Phone (1) will be (at least) an upper mid-range device, which makes complete sense. The camera module appears to be on the top left side of the device, which falls in line with the leaked renders of the device.
It is, however, difficult to tell as to how many cameras the device will accommodate. In all likelihood, the Nothing Phone (1) will sport a dual rear camera setup, as claimed by multiple reports in the past. Additionally, we can see several markings on the back of the device and a couple of circular figures. While the first could be an LED flash, the other could very well be a set of magnetic connectors. Readers must know that this is mere speculation for now, as the image does not provide us with ample information. It, therefore, is wise to take all this with a slight grain of salt till the time things become officially clear. Earlier, the company had shared a teaser image suggesting the Nothing Phone (1) could have a transparent back.
Nothing Phone (1) specifications (expected)
The Nothing Phone (1) is tipped to feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is said to come powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. In terms of photography, the Nothing Phone (1) is tipped to feature a 50MP main camera. The device will likely sport a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
