- Like the Nothing Phone (2a), the Plus variant could come with Glyph lights on the back panel but will have less number of LEDs compared to the standard Nothing Phone 2.
- The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus recently received the BIS certification and the UAE’s TDRA certification site. The handset bears the model number A142P.
- The handset was also spotted in the list of Jio 5G-compatible smartphones list.
- The Nothing Phone 2a (Plus) variant should be sold on Flipkart in India post its launch.
Nothing Phone (2a) Plus could arrive as a superior model to the already existing Phone (2a) given the Plus moniker. This means we might get the same 120Hz AMOLED display with slim bezels. It remains to be seen whether the screen size will see an upgrade. The Nothing Phone (2a) features a 6.7-inch screen.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset powering the Phone (2a) might be retained if the company wishes to keep the price in check but there are chances we might see a similarly-powerful Snapdragon SoC on board. The handset is likely to boot Android 14 OS out of the box and will be skinned with Nothing OS 2.6.
In terms of cameras, the Nothing Phone (2a) has a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The Plus variant could also get a similar setup, if not some tweaks to the sensors. There might be a 32MP front camera like the standard Nothing Phone (2a). The Plus moniker might result in a larger battery. For context, the Nothing Phone (2a) has a 5000mAh cell and 45W fast charging.
Design-wise, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is most likely to draw inspiration from the standard model. We might see a similar Glyph Light interface. Lastly, the Nothing Phone (2a) might fill the gap between the flagship Nothing Phone (2) and the mid-range Phone (2a). We expect it to cost around Rs 30,000 in India.
