
Nothing Phone (3) is one of the most anticipated phones at the moment. It’s scheduled to launch on July 1st, and will be the third phone in the series after the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Nothing has been teasing the Phone (3) saying that it will be the brand’s first ‘true’ flagship phone. It has now revealed the chipset that will be powering the Nothing Phone (3). Here are all the details.
Nothing Phone (3) chipset details
- Nothing today announced that the Phone (3) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
- The brand says that it’s the most advanced processor in a Nothing smartphone to date.
- The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is a new chipset launched in April this year. It’s a powerful mid-range chipset claimed to offer 31 percent improved performance and up to 49 percent improved gaming performance than the previous generation.
- So far, the iQOO Neo 10 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset in India. This is a premium mid-range phone priced at Rs 31,999.
- It’s interesting that Nothing has decided to go for this chipset as the Phone (3) is set to launch as a flagship phone with a price tag of EUR 800 (around Rs 79,500).
Nothing Phone (3): what we know so far
- Officially, Nothing has confirmed the Phone (3) will be manufactured locally at its facility in Chennai.
- The smartphone will also ditch the iconic Glyph Interface. This is said to be replaced by a dot matrix design.
- A leaked render of the Phone (3) surfaced online recently claiming to be the new design. It shows a dual-camera sensors placed vertically, and another sensor, possibly a periscope lens, right beside it.
- It’s also said that this render could be a Nothing Phone (3a) Pro prototype as something similar was spotted in a YouTube video shared by the brand.
- Nothing Phone (3) is said to launch in in black and white colours.
- It will reportedly carry a price tag of $799 (around 68,800) for the 256GB model and $899 (approx Rs 77,500) for the 512GB version.
With the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, it’s interesting to see how the Nothing Phone (3) will be priced, especially in India. Its predecessor, Nothing Phone (2) launched at a starting price of Rs 44,999.
