Nothing Phone (3a) series manufacturing begins in India ahead of March 4th launch

Nothing is set to launch its upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) series in India and global markets on March 4th, 2025. Ahead of the official launch, the company has confirmed that the Phone (3a) series will be manufactured in India.

Nothing Phone (3a) series to be Made-in-India

Nothing today announced that the Nothing Phone (3a) series will be manufactured at the company’s factory in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Nothing has already started manufacturing its upcoming smartphone series at its Chennai plant.
The company said that its Chennai facility has over 500 employees with 95 percent of them being women.

However, the company didn’t specify if the Nothing Phone (3a) series smartphones manufactured at its Chennai facility will be sold only in India or in markets globally.
Separately, the company also confirmed that it has sold more than seven million smartphone units worldwide so far.
Nothing also confirmed that it recently touched the $1 billion mark in terms of lifetime revenue.

Nothing Phone (3a) specifications, features (expected)

Ahead of the official launch, Nothing has been teasing details about its upcoming smartphone series on X (formerly Twitter).
One of the teasers show that the Nothing Phone (3a) series might come with an iPhone-like Action button on the side.
The company didn’t confirm the exact usage of this additional button. However, it did write “your second memory, one click away” in the teaser.
In a more recent post on X, the company teased the transparent design of its upcoming smartphone series.
Nothing Phone (3a) is tipped to get a 6.8-inch AMOLED display and get a 32MP camera in the front.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and get a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
At the back, the Nothing Phone (3a) might house a 50MP telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
