“The nubia Red Magic Mars smartphone is expected to boast of Snapdragon 845 SoC and 10GB of RAM”

The Red Magic Mars smartphone will be the latest iteration in nubia‘s gaming smartphone series. The handset has been slated to launch next week on November 28th at the Shanghai VSPN E-Sports Center, China. It is touted to be a gaming-centric device with Snapdragon 845 SoC and a whopping 10GB of RAM, just like Xiaomi’s Black Shark Helo.

The Red Magic Mars will succeed nubia’s Red Magic smartphone (first impression) that was launched earlier this year. The company started a crowdfunding campaign for the handset on the Chinese e-commerce site JD.com last week. The customers who have backed the Red Magic Mars smartphone are likely to get the device early.

nubia Red Magic Mars specifications

Coming to the specifications, the nubia Red Magic Mars should offer better performance than its predecessor, thanks to the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood. The AnTuTu and Master Lu benchmark results shared by nubia’s CEO Ni Fei have pointed out the same. The handset got an impressive score of 3,19,781 on AnTuTu and 3,61,730 on Master Lu. The results are noted to be higher than the recently launched nubia X flagship smartphone and Kirin 980 powered Huawei Mate 20 Pro that is leading the AnTuTu October’s best performance Android smartphone with a score of 311,840.

Apart from this, the Red Magic Mars is expected to flaunt an 18:9 aspect ratio display up front, just like its predecessor. The phone will reportedly be offered in two RAM and storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 10GB + 256GB. The fingerprint sensor is likely to be on the rear panel and there’ll be dedicated shoulder buttons on the phone for GameBoost mode. On the software front, the handset is expected to boot the latest Android 9 Pie with a custom skin on top out of the box.
