On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, Ola Electric decided to make a few interesting announcements on Monday. The first is the launch of the vanilla Ola S1, which did not go on sale earlier due to production issues. The Ola S1 is a cheaper variant of the Ola S1 Pro and is priced from Rs 99,999. But that’s not all, the company also decided to give its fans a sneak peek at the upcoming Ola car. Yes, the Ola car launch is on the cards and we got our first look at its design along with some key features as well as a launch timeline.

Ola Electric has given us our first look at its upcoming electric car. The company is aiming to make a sleek, sports car-like design with an ergonomic design. This is because Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal believes cars in India today look “dull and boring.” You can check out the full announcement in the video below.
In terms of features, the upcoming Ola car will be able to deliver 0-100 km/h within 4 seconds. The electric car will also offer a range of over 500 km on a single charge. In terms of design, the Ola car will offer a sporty look, with an all-glass roof, designed to deliver a drag coefficient of less than 0.21. The Ola car will also work on Move OS, which is the same operating system for the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters.
