You can now book an Ola or Uber ride from Google Search

“Users looking for a cab online will be presented with fair estimates, pick up times and the availability of a car”

Google continues to make our lives a little bit easier with the latest addition to its Search app. Owing to the massive demand for cabs during the festive season, Google has now integrated cab services from both Ola and Uber in the app.

Google Ola and Uber integration

Made available on Google Maps last year, the feature will now be accessible in the Search app or mobile browser. Users looking for a cab online will be presented with fair estimates, pick up times and the availability of a car from both the cab providers in a dedicated tab for ride services. When referencing specific information such as “Taxi to the airport” or “Ola from Dwarka flyover to airport”, the app/browser will prompt users to select a cab service and will then open the desired app with just a single tap. On the off chance that the respective app isn’t installed, Google will open a link to install the same.
