One UI 7 rollout resumes; India release timeline for Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, and more revealed

After a brief pause, Samsung has resumed the Android 15-based One UI 7 rollout in its home market. Meanwhile, there’s good news for Indian users, as the company has reportedly revealed the release timeline for several Galaxy devices in India. This includes the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, and more. You can find the complete list of eligible devices below, along with tips to ensure a smooth One UI 7 update experience.

Samsung One UI 7 rollout resumes: how to get it

As per tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Fold 6 SE and Flip6 users in South Korea are getting the One UI 7 update (build version ending with …BYD9).

Samsung had paused the rollout before due to a lockscreen bug that wasn’t letting some users unlock the phone after the update.

So, for safe measure, ensure you disable your Galaxy phone’s lockscreen protection before you proceed with the update process. You can do this by going to Settings > Lock Screen and AOD > Screen lock type. Enter your current lockscreen password, PIN or pattern. Choose the None option. You can change this later.

Note: We are not sure if this new build is being rolled out to users who had already updated before the pause.

As for Indian Galaxy users, the update is yet to reach them. Find below when you can expect it, and if your device is eligible:

Tipster Tarun Vats has shared screenshots confirming the One UI 7 India rollout, seemingly obtained from a Samsung official via the Samsung Members app.
