Days later, the South Korean giant has now resumed the rollout of the new One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 phones in India and other global regions. Samsung One UI 7 update starts rolling out in India
- After multiple betas, the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series is live in India alongside the current generation foldables, the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.
- The latest version is based on Android 15 and also includes the April 2025 security patch.
- Besides India, other global regions like the Middle East, the UAE, Europe, Malaysia, and the Philippines are also reportedly receiving the One UI 7 update.
- One UI 7 brings a major design overhaul, with the notification page and Quick Panel separated. The latter is now further customisable.
- It brings new icons for Samsung stock apps, which are also further improved/refined for better functionality. The camera app gets a redesign, where the shortcuts are now moved to the bottom for better one-handed accessibility.
- There are new Galaxy AI features, and the existing ones have been further improved.
- One UI 7 brings new widgets for the home screen and the lock screen. The system animations and transitions are improved and smooth.
- There is a new battery icon in the status bar and a Now Bar, which shows ongoing and live notifications/updates like media playback, stopwatch, maps, timer, navigation and more right on the lock screen.
