The upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro will once again feature a camera system that has been co-developed with Hasselblad. OnePlus made a big deal about this collaboration when it was first introduced with the OnePlus 9 Pro. However, the end results weren’t as great as we expected. That might change with the OnePlus 10 Pro as the partnership has now resulted in four new camera features. OnePlus has provided new details on the second-generation Hasselblad camera system used on the 10 Pro. Let’s dive into the details:
OnePlus 10 Pro camera features
It’s already been confirmed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will come with a triple rear camera setup. The phone features a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a third 8-megapixel unit. In the front will sit a 32-megapixel selfie sensor. As mentioned above, the second generation Hasselblad camera for mobile has brought four new imaging features to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Three of these features improve the photo performance, whereas one makes video shooting more fun.
Fisheye + 150 degree UW mode
The OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a new ultra-wide sensor that offers a super-wide 150-degree field of view. This allows users to get much wider shots from before. There’s a new Fisheye Mode that can replicate the style of fisheye cameras and can help provide a new perspective when shooting photos or videos. There will be a 110-degree ultrawide mode onboard as well for more regular shots.
There’s a new Movie Mode in the OnePlus 10 Pro that lets users adjust ISO, shutter speed, and other aspects during or before capturing videos. This mode will also let you film videos in LOG format without a picture profile, making it much easier to edit in post. Videos capture in LOG format also offer better dynamic range and higher details in the highlights and shadows.
RAW Pro mode
OnePlus 10 Pro now comes with an improved RAW mode that’s now available on all three rear cameras. This allows you to capture photos in 12-bit RAW with Hasselblad Natural Color Solution. The new RAW mode also supports the RAW+ format, which uses the phone’s computational magic to provide photos with better dynamic range, noise reduction, and higher quality.
OnePlus Billion Color
The OnePlus Billion Color feature lets the Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad to be applied to over one billion colors. The OnePlus 10 Pro is the first OnePlus phone to shoot in full 10-bit colour. With OnePlus Billion Color, the OnePlus 10 Pro can capture photos with a 25 percent increase in DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It can also process 64 times more color than the OnePlus 9 Pro. Finally, the 10-bit color capture is supported on all three rear cameras.
