OnePlus 10 Ultra concept renders have surfaced online, revealing the device’s design and camera setup. This comes days after we came across a patent filing by OnePlus that gave us a very first look at the OnePlus 10 Ultra. Previously, we learned that OnePlus could use OPPO’s MariSilicon NPU for superior imaging on its upcoming OnePlus 10 Ultra. Now, LetsGoDigital, in collaboration with Jermaine Smit aka Concept Creator, has created concept renders of the OnePlus 10 Ultra based on the patent images. The renders reveal a similar design to the OnePlus 10 Pro but with a different camera layout. Furthermore, the report also suggests the OnePlus 10 Ultra could debut in the second half of 2022.
OnePlus 10 Ultra concept renders
OnePlus 10 Ultra concept renders give us an early look at the device’s design. The OnePlus Plus 10 Ultra design is similar to the recently launched OnePlus 10 Pro. The main peg here is the camera setup at the rear, which is a triple-camera layout. The camera could be the same 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 48MP wide-angle lens, but the third module is likely to be the rectangular shape periscope lens with 5x optical zoom.
This will be the first-ever OnePlus smartphone to debut with a periscope lens. The OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a max 3.3x zoom support. The patent documents do not reveal the details of the camera, but we can expect a 5x zoom range. Last year, the OnePlus and OPPO has merged and shared similar technology across the devices. A recent leak suggested that OPPO will debut its first Hasselblad camera smartphone – OPPO Find X5 Pro. Hasselblad camera was first introduced with the OnePlus 9 series. Now, OnePlus will adopt OPPO’s MariSilicon NPU for superior imaging on its upcoming OnePlus 10 Ultra.
Coming back to the renders, the front of the OnePlus 10 Ultra will feature a curved display with a punch-hole camera cutout on the left. It houses a power button paired with an alert slider on the right side and volume rockers on the left. It has a USB Type-C port, a SIM tray, and a microphone on the bottom.
OnePlus 10 Ultra specifications (expected)
OnePlus 10 Ultra is rumoured to draw power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 + processor, which is said to debut in upcoming months. The handset will offer a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVooC and 50W AirVooC fast charging. The 10 Ultra could feature a 120Hz QuadHD+ AMOLED display and boot Android 12-based Oxygen 12 skin out of the box.
OnePlus 10 Pro is currently available in China and is yet to debut globally. Unlike the OnePlus 9 series, the OnePlus 10 series may or may not come with a vanilla OnePlus 10, as the company is likely to launch a high-end Ultra variant on the OnePlus 10 series. We expect to learn more about the OnePlus 10 Ultra specification and launch details in the upcoming days.
