Over last few months, the rumour mills have been working overtime when it comes to the next flagship from OnePlus – 6T. The smartphone that comes as a successor to OnePlus 6 (review), is not just an iterative upgrade but a major launch from the brand. Also, this is the first time the brand will launch the smartphone globally and India at the same time. While the October 30th will be live streamed for fans, the brand is also inviting the community to be the part of the launch event by selling event passes. These passes for the OnePlus 6T India launch event go on sale in the country starting today.
OnePlus 6T India launch event pass price and details
OnePlus will open sale for the OnePlus 6T India launch event passes on its official website starting today at 10 am. As has been the ritual with the brand, the event passes will set the interested users back by Rs 999, which they will get back later in the form of a voucher worth the same amount. Further, the event passes will come with a goodie bag that includes the OnePlus Bullets Wireless earphones, a OnePlus sketch book, and a OnePlus pin-set. However, as is always the case, the passes will be limited in number and are bound to sell out in a flash.
OnePlus 6T launch details
OnePlus has already revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be launched in India on October 30th at KDJW Stadium (inside Indira Gandhi Sports Complex) in New Delhi. This marks the first time OnePlus is unveiling a handset in India at the same time as the global unveiling. The event is slated to start at 8:30pm IST.
Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has also opened pre-orders for the smartphone on Amazon India website. However, users will have to buy a OnePlus 6T gift card on the website in order to pre-book. The pre-booking page also reveals that the smartphone might go on sale in India on November 2nd or 3rd, which is when users will have to remaining sum to purchase the handset. With this gift card, OnePlus 6T buyers will get Rs 500 cashback and a voucher to buy OnePlus Type-C Bullet Earphones for free.

Speaking of specs, OnePlus has already confirmed that the upcoming flagship will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and ditch the 3.5mm earphone jack. Further, the smartphone is speculated to come with a 6.41-inch display with full-HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. Android Pie-based OxygenOS with a whole new UI has also been confirmed by the company. It is also being speculated that the brand might increase the battery capacity to 3,700mAh as compared to 3,300mah on OnePlus 6. The rest of the spec sheet is expected to remain the same including the Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB / 8GB RAM, 16MP + 20MP rear camera and 16MP selfie shooter.
While there is no word on the pricing of the upcoming smartphone, we can expect it to be pricier than its predecessor. To recap, OnePlus 6 price in India starts from Rs 34,999 for the base variant and goes up to Rs 43,999 for the top-end variant.
