OnePlus, in partnership with the leading sports car maker McLaren Automotive, announced the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition (review) back in December 2018. The phone went on sale in India online and offline. Since it was a limited edition product, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition went out of stock and was nowhere available eventually. However, the flagship, after months will be up for grabs again on April 6th in India from Amazon.in. For those who were planning on buying the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition but missed out on the chance the first time around, now is the time. Do note the phone will be available only in limited stock.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren edition comes with glass finish back with McLaren logo and orange accents around the phone’s frame. In terms of hardware, it’s the same as the regular OnePlus 6T (review) variant except for the 10GB RAM and the new 30W Warp Charge standard. The glass on the rear has a textured pattern underneath that is made of carbon fibre. The phone comes with a custom OxygenOS theme and matching accessories.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition specifications
The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC and sports a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with waterdrop notch and in-display fingerprint sensor. The storage onboard is 256GB, which is non-expandable. A 3,700mAh battery fuels the handset, which is said to add a day’s power in just 20 minutes thanks to the 30W Warp charging.
Other features include dual 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors on the rear with LED flash and a 20-megapixel sensor up front for selfies. The phone boots Android 9 Pie-based exclusive OxygenOS out of the box. Connectivity options include dual-SIM dual VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and GPS/ GLONASS. Of course, no 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition price in India is Rs 50,999.
