OnePlus is all set to launch its highly anticipated OnePlus 7 in the coming weeks. After the teaser release, the company’s CEO Pete Lau has now announced that it’ll reveal the release date of its next flagships tomorrow, April 23rd. If leaks are anything to go by, the OnePlus 7 launch date could be May 14th. The handset will reportedly make its debut alongside its elder sibling OnePlus 7 Pro, which will most likely be the 5G-enabled device. Ahead of the launch, hardware details of the ‘Pro’ model have surfaced with most of them in line with the previous leaks.

OnePlus 7 Pro specifications
As per the leak, the triple rear cameras of OnePlus 7 Pro will flaunt a 48-megapixel main sensor, paired with 8-megapixel 3X zoom telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens that will reportedly offer a 117-degree field of view. In addition to that, the telephoto lens is tipped to bear f/2.4 aperture lens, while the wide angle lens will boast of f/2.2 aperture lens. The selfie sensor details remain a mystery, but what we can tell from CAD-based renders, the handset will boast of pop-up front camera.
Apart from this, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to come with a 6.64-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. This will be a big leap forward for OnePlus – making the jump from the customary full-HD+ resolution and giving the industry the first mainstream device with the impressive refresh rate. The phone is also said to come with a USB 3.1 connectivity and a beefy 4,000mAh battery, which shall be backed by 30W Warp fast charging that was introduced last year with OnePlus 6T McLaren addition.
The OnePlus 7 Pro will most likely have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 ticking at its core so does its elder sibling OnePlus 7. As seen from CAD-based renders, the latter is expected to be more and less similar to its predecessor OnePlus 6T.
