“The OxygenOS 9.5.9 will be rolled out to users gradually”
OnePlus has started rolling out new OxygenOS 9.5.9 update to its latest flagship OnePlus 7 Pro (review). It’s yet another update for the handset, which was unveiled back in May. The OxygenOS 9.5.9 build could be considered as the biggest update that the OnePlus 7 Pro has received so far, as it includes a bunch of changes including performance improvements, bug fixes, and new features such as more smoothness, optimised auto-brightness setting, and assistive lighting for Face Unlock. Moreover, the build carries the June security patch for the handset as well.
The OxygenOS 9.5.9 update further improves the Touch sensitivity of OnePlus 7 Pro. The company claims that the change will result in greater performance than before. Apart from this, the visual effects have been made smoother and the haptic feedback for the keyboard, the sensitivity of the auto-brightness, the speed and accuracy of GPS when the screen is off, and the auto-switching of the display resolution have all been optimised.
The sound over OnePlus latest Bullets Wireless 2 (review), when paired with the handset, has also been improved. There is adjusted haptic feedback of third-party app notifications now, and general bug fix and improvements as well.
In the camera department, the OxygenOS 9.5.9 is said to improve the picture quality of the 48-megapixel JPGs shot in the Pro mode. The switching between the front and rear cameras have also been made better along with auto-focus, and Panorama mode got advanced photo stitching.
The update is being rolled out for the OnePlus 7 Pro globally. As always, it’ll be in the phased manner that means only a limited number of handsets will be getting OxygenOS 9.5.9 today, followed by a wider roll-out in the coming days. Of course, you can manually check for the update by going to the phone’s update center within the Settings menu.
