“OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro flagships are expected to come with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 48MP primary rear camera and run on Android 10”
The OnePlus 7T smartphone has been confirmed to launch in the Indian market on September 26th, while the and 7T Pro model may be delayed to October 10th and be unveiled in London. In a press statement, OnePlus said the first event will be held in New Delhi on September 26th, where the brand will showcase the 7T smartphone. Two weeks later, on October 10th, the 7T Pro will go official. There will be no separate event for the US market and the company will be holding an online event on September 26th on its social platforms. The press statement also confirmed that both the flagship smartphones, even the cheaper OnePlus 7T, will rock 90Hz displays that we saw on the 7 Pro from earlier this year.
It is quite likely that the OnePlus TV will be launched alongside the OnePlus 7T flagship series at the September 26th event – OnePlus has only confirmed that its smart TV will be launching in September, but has not given a date yet. But we do know that it will go on sale during the Amazon Great India Festival sale, which is scheduled to start on September 29th.
The OnePlus 7T series launch event will be held at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi at 7pm on September 26th, and tickets will go on sale on for the same on September 20th starting 10am. The tickets for the India event are priced at Rs 999 apiece. On September 20th, the company will also start selling tickets for the London event, which is scheduled for October 10th at 4pm BST. Tickets for both events will limited in numbers and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The OnePlus 7T series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. While the OnePlus 7T is said to come with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, the Pro variant could get a larger 6.65-inch QHD+ AMOLED display. Both would rock HDR10+ support and an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. It could pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and run on Android 10 with OxygenOS skin on top. In terms of optics, the 7T series could feature a triple rear camera setup with a primary 48-megapixel sensor, a telephoto with up to 3x zoom, and an ultra-wide 16-megapixel sensor.
As for OnePlus TV, it is expected to rock a 55-inch QLED display with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and 50W speakers. It would run on Android TV platform and said to be powered by the MediaTek MT5670 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The TV would come with Google Assistant and Alexa voice support as well and a dedicated Gamma Colour Magic image processor for realistic picture quality.
