OnePlus 7T allegedly makes an appearance on Geekbench, with Android 10 in tow

“The OnePlus 7T looks like a big upgrade over its predecessor with reported improvements in many key areas”

We’ve had our first look at the OnePlus 7T, courtesy of a CAD render leak brought by PriceBaba earlier last month. And although some exciting specifications of the handset have also leaked a couple of times, a tipster in China has spotted the OnePlus 7T on Geekbench without its apparent branding this morning. The leak corroborates previous findings regarding the affordable OnePlus handset. Both the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro are likely to be unwrapped on September 26th, when OnePlus will also announce its first-ever foray into the smart TV segment in India.

Geekbench logged a device, EXSS8865 HD1900, whose model number in no way, even remotely, gives the hint of being a OnePlus device. However, the reputed blogger who reported this believes it is indeed the OnePlus 7T. Presuming that to be true, the listing shows a “msmnile” processor which has previously been reported as a Snapdragon 855 Plus. It has a base frequency of 1.78GHz and is backed by 8GB of RAM. Moreover, as previously leaked, the alleged OnePlus 7T is running Android 10.0. Both the single-core and multi-core scores look to be in line with what the new Snapdragon 855 Plus will bring to the table.

Based on previous leaks, the OnePlus 7T is expected to boast a 6.55-inch S-AMOLED display with not only 2K resolution but also a 90Hz refresh rate. This could be the biggest selling point of the handset when it launches at the end of this month. Continuing further, the rear camera setup could get an extra sensor making it a triple camera setup with a 48MP + 16MP + 12MP combo placed in an awkward circular module. The battery could also be handed a minor bump with a reported 3,800mAh cell and 30W Warp Charge upgraded from Dash Charge.

Camera features like 960 fps slow-motion video shooting, wide-angle video recording and nightscape mode are also expected on the handset. OnePlus hasn’t officially declared the launch date, but it looks like this will likely be the launch date of the duo.
