“OnePlus 8 is set to launch in a few weeks and the phone will come in three colours, including a new ‘Glow’ gradient colour scheme”

OnePlus 8 series is expected to launch in the second half of April and a new report has now revealed the colour options for the more vanilla variant. According to a report by WinFuture.de, the OnePlus 8 will launch in three colours that will include a brand new ‘Glow’ gradient colour scheme. Clear renders have now been provided of the OnePlus 8 in the new Glow colour option as well as two more plain colours – Black and Green. In addition to the renders, we also learn some key OnePlus 8 specifications that keep in line with previous leaks.

OnePlus 8 renders

The OnePlus 8 Glow colour variant gives a fresh look to the series. We see a unique gradient shade that moves from purple to pink to orange. The renders also show that even the regular model will offer a curved display this time around. The rest of the design seems more or less familiar. There is a Type-C port on the bottom next to a speaker grille, and there won’t be a 3..5mm headphone jack.

In addition to a curved display, the OnePlus 8 will also sport a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner for a single selfie camera. There’s an earpiece grille above the display, which may also double up as a secondary speaker. On the back, we see a triple camera module arranged in a vertical layout on the middle and the new OnePlus logo placed below it.

OnePlus 8 specifications

Based on what we know so far, OnePlus specifications will include a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 8 Pro model is said to come with a bigger screen and 120Hz display. Both the models will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support. The OnePlus 8 is said to house a 4,300mAh battery and support 30W fast charging.

The OnePlus 8 triple camera setup will reportedly feature a 48-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide unit and a 2-megapixel macro unit. Up front, the phone is said to come with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. OnePlus 8 series is expected to launch in the third week of April, if there are no further delays due to the coronavirus pandemic.
