“The product diagram of OnePlus 8 Pro is mostly in line with CAD-based renders from last month”
Last month, the OnePlus 8 Pro design was leaked exclusively by 91mobiles via CAD-based renders. Now, alleged product diagrams of the upcoming flagship from OnePlus have surfaced online, reaffirming the design we had shared. A blog by the name True-Tech has shared product diagrams claimed to be of the OnePlus 8 Pro – these diagrams show the same design we have seen for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, with the latter getting dual selfie cameras and quad-camera setup on the back. The additional camera sensor will be placed beside the triple camera module at the centre of the OnePlus 8 Pro’s back panel.
As per the report, OnePlus is likely to ditch the pop-up mechanism for punch-hole display for its upcoming offering. While the OnePlus 8 features a punch-hole display that houses a single camera setup, the Pro may debut with a pill-shaped punch-hole at the top left corner for dual selfie cameras – just like the Samsung Galaxy S10+.
Apart from this, the phone will have uniformly thick bezels above and below the display. The earpiece will be above the screen, volume rocker on the left spine, and power button and alert slider on the right. The ‘OnePlus’ logo is below the camera module, while the fingerprint scanner will most likely be on the front – underneath the display.
OnePlus 8 Pro specifications
Unfortunately, the PDF doesn’t include the specifications of the OnePlus 8 Pro. Going by the previous leaks and rumours, however, suggests that the handset could pack a 120Hz refresh rate display. This is up from 90Hz on OnePlus 7T series and the OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone. The phone, without a doubt, will rock Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, rumoured to be Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Software-wise, it’s expected to boot Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 out of the box and, in the camera department, could feature a 3D ToF lens along with other sensors. The OnePlus 8 series is expected to launch in Q2 2020 and could come with a 5G connectivity as well.
