OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro India prices to be revealed soon, will be more aggressive than US pricing

The OnePlus 8 series prices go up to $999 (about Rs 75,000) in the US, but India prices should be relatively lower

OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones have finally been launched with flagship specifications and features such as the 5G connectivity, Snapdragon 865 SoC, Fluid AMOLED display, and much more. The company had revealed the prices and availability of both the phones in the US but is yet announce prices for the Indian market. The OnePlus 8 price for the 8GB + 128GB variant is $699, whereas $799 is the price tag for the 12GB + 128GB option. Similarly, the OnePlus 8 Pro sets you back by $899 and $999, respectively, for the same configurations. These prices clearly show OnePlus phones are no longer the budget flagships as they are inching towards the $1,000 price mark. Obviously, there are concerns that the OnePlus 8 series in India, at least the Pro mode, will firmly be in the flagship territory. 

Now, in a tweet, OnePlus India mentioned the OnePlus 8 prices in India will be revealed soon, with emphasis on the prices not being a conversation from the dollar prices. This could mean the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro prices may be aggressive compared to their US and UK prices. We should know more details going forward. With Amazon allowed to resume deliveries as early as April 21st and the OnePlus 8 series listed on Amazon India, the official reveal of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro prices in India should not be too far away.

OnePlus 8 Pro sports a 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie camera, and Gorilla Glass protection. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. It boots Android 10 OS with OxygenOS skin. There are quad cameras at the back with a couple of 48MP sensors, an 8MP unit, and a 5MP colour sensor. For selfies and video chats, there is a 16MP snapper. The smartphone packs a 4,510mAh battery with 30W wired as well as wireless charging support.

The OnePlus 8 flaunts a 6.55-inch full HD+ Fluid AMOLED punch-hole display with 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G SoC with 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The handset boots Android 10 with OxygenOS custom skin. It has a 16MP selfie camera on the front housed in the punch-hole cutout. The triple camera setup includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor. A 4,300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T wired fast charging support fuels the phone.
