OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are confirmed to launch on April 14th and thanks to multiple leaks, we already know a fair deal on what to expect from the two smartphones. Right after the announcement every year, the company has a tradition of holding pop-up events in select cities, giving customers a chance to be among the first to buy the newly launched flagship. This time, however, OnePlus has announced it will be creating a special online pop-up experience on its official website due to the coronavirus pandemic. The OnePlus 8 pop-up event will start right after the keynote live stream, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM IST.

“As a part of the OnePlus Online Pop-up experience, users can visit the OnePlus official website and be the first to purchase and own the device of their choice from the OnePlus 8 series,” OnePlus said in a statement. If you head straight to the OnePlus website following the launch event, you can be among the first to get your hands on The OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus will ship the phone in a special pop-up box that will include The OnePlus 8 device and some merchandise as well.

The vanilla OnePlus 8 is said to ship with a 6.55-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. It is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. The OnePlus 8 is said to come with triple rear cameras consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary unit and a 2MP unit. On the front, it is said to rock a 16MP unit for selfies and video chats. The handset is rumoured to be equipped with a 4,300mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T fast-charging support and no wireless charging support.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 8 Pro is said to flaunt a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass layer for protection. It will also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and will likely launch with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage. The phone is likely to run on Android 10 OS with Oxygen OS custom skin on top. The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to have quad cameras with dual 48MP sensors, an 8MP snapper and a 5MP sensor. On the front, it is tipped to ship with a 16MP snapper. A 4,510 mAh battery with 30W Super Warp 30T fast charging support, 30W wireless charging and 3W reverse wireless charging is also expected.
