OnePlus 9 Pro will come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, as per a new tip. To recall, the OnePlus 8 Pro was the company’s first phone to offer an official IP rating while the same was missing on the vanilla OnePlus 8. Now, it looks like the company is following the same trend for the upcoming OnePlus 9 models. According to tipster Max J., the OnePlus 9 Pro will have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance while the standard OnePlus 9 and the alleged OnePlus 9E that is said to debut alongside the lineup will skip it. Unfortunately, the tipster doesn’t reveal much else about the flagships at this moment but thanks to numerous leaks we already know a good deal.

OnePlus 9 Pro specifications (rumoured)
According to leaks, OnePlus 9 Pro is said to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The flagship is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC paired with at least 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The phone is likely to run on Android 11 OS with OxygenOS custom skin on top. As for the cameras, a recently leaked schematic suggests it will have quad-cameras with two large sensors and two regular lenses. The OnePlus 9 Pro is also expected to feature the company’s new 65W fast-charging solution. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port.
Meanwhile, the standard OnePlus 9 could come with an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 SoC, Android 11 OS, 5G connectivity, 65W fast-charging support and triple camera setup, with two large sensors. There is no word yet on the OnePlus 9E specifications as of now.
