As expected, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It seems that OnePlus has taken it upon itself to confirm key OnePlus 9 specifications every day as we lead up to the launch event on March 23rd. The company already confirmed that the flagships will come with Hasselblad-branded cameras. Earlier this week, the OnePlus 9 Pro display specifications were revealed and the company has teased the OnePlus Watch design as well. Now, OnePlus and Qualcomm have confirmed the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset.

The OnePlus 9 series was expected to use the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset. The chipset already powers the likes of the ASUS ROG Phone 5, Realme GT 5G, Xiaomi Mi 11, and more. The Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform is based on a 5nm process and delivers clock speeds of up to 2.84GHz. The chipset comes with a new Qualcomm Spectra 580 ISP that offers a Triple Image Signal Processor and it is equipped with the 3rd generation Snapdragon X60 5G Modem-RF for Sub-6 and mmWave 5G connectivity.
OnePlus 9 series specifications
The OnePlus 9 Pro is confirmed to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO display with a smart 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits brightness, and HDR10+ support. The vanilla OnePlus 9 is said to come with a 6.55-inch FHD+ screen with a 120Hz display. Both phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset likely paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The OnePlus 9 phones will come with Hasselblad-branded cameras. The company has confirmed a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP wide-angle lens. The devices are also expected to come with a 65W fast charging solution, while a 50W wireless charging support is tipped for the Pro model.
