OnePlus 9RT launched in India: Realme GT, Mi 11X Pro, and 3 other phones it will compete against

Three months after its China debut, the OnePlus 9RT finally arrived in India last week. The phone went on sale in the country for the first time today with a starting price of Rs 42,999. With bank offers and discounts, the OnePlus phone is effectively available for Rs 38,999. For that amount of money, you get a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 chipset, 65W fast charging, and a 50MP camera, among other things. We take a look at five other phones you can consider buying instead of the OnePlus 9RT around a similar budget.

Realme GT 5G – Rs 37,999

Realme GT 5G has been the flagship product in Realme’s stable right now. The phone is based on the same principles that most budget flagships go for. The Vivo V23 Pro is the brand’s latest upper-tier smartphone just being the ‘X’ series. It packs a 6.56-inch curved FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate screen and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The phone gets up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM (3GB Dynamic RAM) and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 Storage. The Novelty feature here is the color-changing back that reacts to UV rays.

Vivo V23 Pro

Vivo V23 Pro’s focus is on the optics and it also happens to be the first smartphone in the market to come with dual-selfie cameras with the main 50MP sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and Dual-Tone Spotlight flash. As for the rear, there is a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone is juiced by a 4,300mAh battery that comes with support for 44W fast charging.

OnePlus 9R – Rs 39,999

Launched last year, the OnePlus 9R was introduced as a supplement alongside OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The phone is aimed at the budget buyer and despite sub-par optics, still continues to sell well. It gets a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

OnePlus 9 RT Joint Edition

Looking at the optics, there is a quad-camera setup on the back with a main 48MP lens, coupled with a 16MP Ultra-Wide-angle Camera, a 5 MP Macro camera, and a 2 MP Monochrome camera. It comes with a 16 MP front Camera for crisp selfies. As for the goodies, the 9R gets a glass sandwich design, Dual-band 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, loses on 3.5mm audio jack, and gains Hands-Free Amazon Alexa. As for the battery, there is a 4,500mAh cell powering the phone, and comes with support for 65W fast charging.

Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro 5G – Rs 38,999

The Mi 11X Pro was Xiaomi’s answer to the OnePlus 9R. Launched at a steep price, the phone now is available for under Rs 40,000. It packs a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Dot AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz Touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ rating. The panel has excellent color and gets an A+ rating from DisplayMate. The 11X Pro comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 internal storage.

Mi 11X Pro

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC, comes with a wide 5G band support, slim and light design, and more. Looking at the optics, 11X Pro gets a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP Super macro camera, while the selfies are handled by a 20MP front camera. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G – Rs 45,500

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G has been one of Samsung’s successful experiments to make a budget flagship. The phone launched last year, came will all the bells and whistles possible at a strict price point. The phone packs a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G SoC and comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that can be bumped up to 1TB via a MicroSD card.
