OnePlus Ace 2 went official in China today just hours ahead of the OnePlus’ India launch event. For those wondering, the OnePlus Ace 2 will be arriving in India as the OnePlus 11R 5G. With the Ace 2 unveiled, we now have a better idea of what to expect from the OnePlus 11R. As you may have seen from official images, the OnePlus Ace 2 (aka OnePlus 11R) shares a lot of the same design elements as the flagship OnePlus 11. It is, however, a more affordable model as it is powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 5G chip. Other key specifications include up to 16GB RAM, a 50MP primary camera, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and 100W charging support.

The OnePlus Ace 2 starts from CNY 2799 (approx Rs 34,000) for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The 16GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB versions are priced at CNY 3099 (approx. Rs 37,800) and CNY 3499 (approx. Rs 42,600), respectively. Going by the China prices, it seems the OnePlus 11R will be priced around Rs 40,000 and upwards in India factoring in taxes.

OnePlus Ace 2 specifications, features

As mentioned earlier, the OnePlus Ace 2 looks similar to the OnePlus 11 on a design level. It gets a similar rear camera module as the flagship phone but minus the Hasselblad branding. The display is nearly edge-to-edge with a punch-hole camera on the top centre. The device gets the iconic Alert Slider but does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset measures 8.7mm in thickness and weighs 204 grams.

On the hardware side of things, the OnePlus Ace 2 features a 6.74-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the handset is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 5G chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM.

Coming to the cameras, the OnePlus Ace 2 gets a triple rear camera system that includes a 50MP IMX890 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. At the front, the phone gets a 16MP sensor for selfies. The rear camera can support 4K video recording at 30fps which promises to be shake-free thanks to EIS and OIS support as well.

The OnePlus Ace 2 packs a 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support, much like the OnePlus 11. Most of the above-mentioned specifications should be found on the OnePlus 11R. The latter is set to launch in India alongside the OnePlus 11 in just a few hours.
