- OnePlus Ace 2 model with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset is tipped to be in the works.
- The phone is said to come with a 64MP OmniVision sensor instead of the 50MP Sony IMX890 used in the Ace 2.
- OnePlus Ace 2 launched in India as OnePlus 11R.
OnePlus Ace 2 debuted in China earlier this week as a flagship offering and a successor to the OnePlus Ace from last year. The handset came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC, which is still a good performer for the price range. Now, noted tipster DigitalChatStation claims the OnePlus Ace2 with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is in the works and will arrive as a slightly cheaper alternative or perhaps a special edition model, possibly the OnePlus Ace 2 Racing Edition. The leakster also tipped some key specifications of the phone, which are largely identical but with some minor changes.
According to DigitalChatStation, the OnePlus Ace 2 will come with a 64MP OmniVision sensor instead of the 50MP Sony IMX890 used in the Ace 2. This appears to be the biggest change between the existing Ace2 and the upcoming new model. We should learn more details soon.
