OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition moniker confirmed, to launch in China next week

In the past few days, key details have surfaced about the upcoming devices in the OnePlus Ace 5 lineup that already comprises of standard and pro models. The OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition also surfaced on the Geekbench platform. Now, the brand has confirmed the launch timeline of the new Ace 5 phones along with confirming the moniker of one model. This will also be the first time OnePlus will be launching a ‘Supreme Edition’. 

OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition confirmed

  • OnePlus’s China President Li Jie confirmed (via) that the new Ace 5 smartphones will be announced in China next week. 
  • However, the exact launch date has not been revealed yet. 
  • There will be a new variant in the Ace 5 series this time, called the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition which is machine translated to Ultra Edition in English.  
  • This has been confirmed in a retailer box image shared by the OnePlus executive.

  • The device is expected to be China-exclusive, meaning it will unlikely arrive in the global markets. 
  • Meanwhile, the other device is reported to be the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition. It could debut globally as the OnePlus Nord 5.

  • The Geekebench listing of the OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition revealed Dimensity 9400+ SoC coupled with 16GB RAM
  • Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition will reportedly be the first to feature a Dimensity 9400e chipset. 
  • The Ace 5 duo are said to come with Fengchi gaming core for an enhanced gaming performance. 
  • Both smartphones are rumoured to be backed by a large battery capacity. 
  • The Racing Edition is also said to have a 6.77-inch LTPS display and a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup.
