In the latest development, reliable tipsters Debayan Roy and Abhishek Yadav have revealed details about the OnePlus Nord 5’s India price range and specifications. It appears the smartphone will launch with a price tag similar to its predecessor. In terms of specifications, the device is believed to be a rebranded version of a OnePlus Ace 5-series smartphone.

OnePlus Nord 5 India price (rumour)

  • As per tipster Debayan Roy, the OnePlus Nord 5 will come around Rs 30,000 in India. The starting price of Nord 4 was Rs 29,999.
  • Similar to the predecessor, we suppose the OnePlus Nord 5 will be available via Amazon and the OnePlus website.

OnePlus Nord 4 was a rebadged OnePlus Ace 3V, and so, could Nord 5 be a rebranded Ace 5V? Well, it’s too early to tell.

So far, the tipster has shared the following specs:

OnePlus Nord 5 specifications (rumour)

  • Processor: The Nord 5 could be running on a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, as per Mr Roy and another tipster, Abhishek Yadav. The Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station had said a couple of days back that the new Ace 5 series phone will pack this chip. Dimensity 9400e will be a binned variant of the Dimensity 9400 chipset, and is expected to be released this month. DCS adds that the 9400e could be more powerful than the Dimensity 9300+ and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. That would make it more powerful than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC inside the OnePlus Nord 4 (review).

  • Display: On the front of the phone, you could get a flat AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Underneath the display, there could be a fingerprint scanner.
  • Battery: The phone could have around a 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
  • Cameras: On the back of the phone, you could get a 50MP primary camera with OIS support. This could be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide snapper. For selfies, you could get a 16MP shooter.
  • Miscellaneous: The phone could have a glass back and a plastic frame. Among other things, you could also get an IR scanner and a dual speaker setup.

Should you wait for the OnePlus Nord 5?

If the leaks are accurate, the OnePlus Nord 5 could offer major upgrades in performance and battery life over its predecessor. With a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset and a 7,000mAh battery, it may compete with phones in the sub-Rs 35,000 category. However, potential buyers may want to wait for official confirmation or further leaks in the coming weeks.
